What is blasting.
Today, blasting is used in many industries. However, the main customer of this type of works is the mining industry. For the extraction of minerals, such as dolomite or gypsum, explosion energy is used for breaking rock. With the explosion it is possible to provide crushed rock mass for the quarry equipment. This make the process of mineral extraction more simplifier and significantly improves its performance.
Also quite often blasting is used in the directional demolishing of buildings, water towers or chimneys. This kind of blasting works is usually called as special blasting works.
What we do.
Our company make drilling and blasting works in dolomite and gypsum queries and special blasting operations.
Blasting works our company provides on the basis of a license issued by the State Police of the Republic of Latvia. This license allows produce blasting works and store explosive materials.
Before blasting.
Agreements
Blasting operations in the Republic of Latvia can only be carried out on the basis of a blasting project. Each project must be coordinated with such state authorities as the State Police, the State Fire and Rescue Service, the State Environment Service and local self-government. In addition, coordination with other interested organizations and individuals may be required.
Such a project is necessary for all facilities where blasting is underway.
Drilling operations
After receiving all the necessary agreements, the stage of drilling operations begins. At the blasting facility, the required number of wells is drilled using a drilling machine.
When all the wells are ready, they are filled with explosive materials and blown up.
